Nora Lorek, born 1992 in Germany but living in Gothenburg, Sweden half of her life holds a degree in Photojournalism from Mid Sweden University. Additional to her assignments for newspapers she’s working on long term projects with focus on migration and human rights.
For two years she has been working on projects in the French refugee camp called Jungle in Calais. Visualizing the people and stories beyond the statistics and headlines. Following they’re way along the bordes of Europe and showing the solidarity of those in need of protection.
In 2016 Nora was the first Swede awarded College Photographer of the Year which led her to National Geographic and her ongoing project in one of the world’s largest refugee camps in Uganda.
