Ragnar Axelsson – a.k.a. RAX – is an Icelandic photographer. For more than three decades he has been traveling to the Arctic portraying and documenting the lives of the people living in the north.

The travels to the northmost parts of the world resulted in the books Faces of the North and Last Days of the Arctic. Over time RAX have experienced the changes in the environment in the Arctic. His work with Last Days of the Arctic is also featured in a documentary film by the same name, and is said to have captured the huamn face of climate changes in the Arctic.
